  • Is Metamucil good for weight loss?

I know that Metamucil can help people be more regular with their bowel movements, but I also read that it can help with weight loss. Is that really true and how is that even possible?

Only if the only extra weight you're carrying is from not pooping. If you're looking for fat loss, no. It will do more harm than good to use a laxative this way.

No way. This is a bad idea. The only weight you'll lose is whatever is in your bowel. Using this wrong will also risk bad nutrient absorption, which will actually make it harder to lose weight but easier to gain. Metamucil is for help with constipation but has nothing to do with fat loss.

No. That's totally a dangerous fad. If you google it there are huge warnings everywhere, especially on sites from good sources. Don't do it!
