are testimonials real?

Should you consider testimonials in the same way that you consider reviews from customers? Aren’t testimonials often written by people who have received the product for free and not people who actually bought it?

Some are real but it’s hard to tell which ones. It’s better to compare multiple sites instead of just the official one.
