I want to have something healthy on my table, and green other than green bean casserole. Is it wrong to put out a salad with a christmas dinner?

Certainly not wrong! Serve the salad and enjoy it! It feels good to eat this kind of dish along with a heavier meal. If you have salad first, you'll eat less of everything else but still enjoy it all and get full on it.

I know my family would likely tease me and object (jokingly). Don't know how many takers I'd get. But still, I don't think of it as wrong. I can't see it offending anyone. The worst that would happen in my family is jokes and leftovers.
