  • Does cheese make a recipe unhealhty?

    I hear a lot of good things about cheese (dairy, protein) and bad things (fat, calories). If a recipe has cheese, is that good or bad?

    I think it depends on the cheese. Like mozarella is pretty low fat, especially if you get the kind made with skim milk, but you still get protein. But something like brie or a really creamy one should probably be eaten only in tiny bits.

      I think a little bit of cheese, on occasion is definitely not a bad thing. Cheese only really becomes a problem if you make it a part of a daily meal. KraftMan is right that some cheese are less fattier than others, but on the whole, think of cheese as a treat.

        As far as I know cheese does have some nutrition. The main problem with cheese is that it is is high in fat! Just limit the amount you use and add it as a garnish instead of as a main ingredient
