Why is ephedra no longer the best?

I know that diet pills with ephedra in them have been banned because this herb is now considered dangerous, but out of curiosity, before it was banned, was it effective at all? I've heard that some people claim it was in the best diet pills for losing weight before it became illegal.

I'm pretty sure that there were people who died of lung problems because of taking ephedra. Also, there has never been one study that has proven that it actually helps with weight loss. It was a good appetite suppressant, but that doesn't necessarily mean that you'll lose weight!

Ephedra is very dangerous. It has a lot of side effects and can interact with a lot of medications and medical conditions. Even healthy people have had bad reactions to it. It's the same reason that people don't take amphetamines anymore. They impact your brain in the wrong way. That's really not the way to lose weight.
