I'm confused I know that Alli and Xenical both contain the drug Orlistat, but why is Alli non-prescription and Xenical is prescription? If it's because there is a smaller dosage of Orlistat in Alli, wouldn't that mean that Alli is less effective?

Does Alli work as good as Xenical?

Not even close. Xenical is really powerful and you need to follow a very careful low fat diet while you're on it because otherwise you'll end up on the toilet all the time (believe me when it blocks the fat from being absorbed by you, it has to go somewhere). Alli has a tiny amount of the Orlistat in it. It may work for some people, I don't know, but it's not nearly that powerful.
