Do Fat Blockers need to be used for a limited time like Phentermine?

I know that you can only take Phentermine for limited amounts of time but is that the same for fat blocker prescription drugs or do they just keep working steadily until you don't need them anymore?

Yes, I believe it is. Many prescription drugs are meant to be taken for the short term unless they are prescribed for a chronic illness. That said, I don't believe their is a risk of addiction with fat blockers as there is with phentermine, so maybe it is safer to take for longer. That's a good question to ask your doctor.

Good question, brighstar. I didn’t know the answer either, so I did a bit of online research. I think fat blocker prescription drugs (unlike phentermine) are taken for the long term. I think you pretty much take them for as long as you need them. Even if you go off them, you can go back on them.

I think they're a short term solution but you can use them as long as you need to in order to lose the weight
