  • Caffeine and Exercise

I've read several times that drinking caffeine prior to working out can increase your meatbolism and help your burn more fat. Is this true? Also, does anyone know how much caffeine you should drink?

It is true! Have a cup of coffee about half an hour before you exercise. That will help to give you more energy so you’ll drive through your exercises or workout with more energy and without running out of steam as early. It will also increase your fat burning. How much depends on the coffee you drink. Just remember to drink the coffee black or you’ll risk a sugar crash from the sugars, or too many calories and fats from the milk/cream.

Bethie is right Drink a cup of black coffee before you work out and this should help you to burn off more energy than you naturally would when you exercise. You don't need to drink a whole lot. The point is to just give yourself a boost. If you drink too much coffee, it'll just end up turning into a diuretic and you'll just be heading to the bathroom all the time LOL. Remember, less is more!
