    If I reduce my carbs but eat more protein and fat instead, do I still need to keep counting calories to lose weight?

    My understanding is that you do, though not quite as carefully. Still within a range, though.

      I think I'd still pay attention to the calories. If you're already entering your food into a tracker to find out about how many carbs you're eating, that same tracker will likely also provide you with a calorie count. You might as well have a glance to see how you're doing.

        Only if you don't really know how many calories you're eating at all. Mostly if you cut carbs, and stick to healthier foods, you'll be fine.
