  • Benefits of jumping

Is skipping rope, jumping jacks or jumping on a trampoline really good exercise? I imagine it helps you to burn calories, but beyond does it have any other benefit?

I would think that it is very good intense cardio. I know that it has been recommended to me as an exercise to do (jumping jacks or jumping rope) if I can't do a good walk during the day. I've been told to jump rope a couple of times for five minutes instead. I think it is probably not good for people with bad knees though.

I also think it burns a lot of calories and is a good substitute when you can't get outside to go on a nice walk...but yeah, beyond bad knees I find when you have a large bosom like I do it can also be uncomfortable. I've never had a sportsbra that can strap my ladies down enough that I'd feel comfortable jumping in any fashion lol.

Haha I agree with Bean. Holding them really is the way to go. I have a mini trampoline I like to jump on and that's exactly what I do. It's surprisingly a lot of fun and it is a great way to burn calories!

LOL I'm glad to hear I'm such an expert on the topic. Just don't do this exercise in a shared office or at the gym

HAHAHA! Bean you're so funny. I really needed that laugh today

Thanks everyone for your responses. I think I might invest in a small trampoline for home. It does look fun
