  • Low-sugar mocktail recipes

I'm looking for mocktail recipes because I want to drink less alcohol. But they're all full of sugar. They're all juice or pop. Does anyone know a good one that isn't just like drinking a bowl of sugar?

Fizzy water, fresh lime juice (a tablespoon will do), and mashed mint leaves. Mojito taste without the sugar or booze. Enjoy!

Seltzer water, fresh basil, fresh rosemary and a crushed strawberry. Amazing! Especially if you pour it over a touch of ice or add some cubes to keep it really chilled.

Just use flavored, zero-cal seltzer water and add a wedge of whatever citrus you like. If you pour it over crushed ice, it will automatically feel like you have a cocktail. The lacroix coconut one fakes a perfect alcohol-free pina colada.

Anything based on soda water with citrus is a good start. Just be careful of syrups that are added. They are what spike the sugar. That said, feel free to add fruit slices, especially if you plan to eat the fruit! Yes, there's some sugar in there, but the fiber the fruit contains offsets it.

Swap out any full-sugar soda for diet. That'll eliminate the sugar even if you are basing your cocktail on something like gingerale or whatever

True, as long as it's an occasional treat and not every day, zero-cal sweeteners can make a big difference here.
