  • omega 3 other than fish?

Fish is so expensive! I really can't afford to have it once a week let alone two times. Are there other good sources of omega 3 that are cheaper?

ground flax has it. So if you get the seeds then grind them up (they go rancid fast when they're ground, so it's best to toss your own in a spice grinder) and throw them on your salad, in your yogurt or cereal, or wherever else you want them. Just be sure not to eat them whole. You can't digest them unless they're pre-ground

walnuts and hemp seeds are both great for omega 3 and are super heart healthy anyway (not to mention tasting great). Put them on your salad or granola, or just eat them as snacks. So good.

You don't have to get fresh fish to still get the omegas. You can get canned too, which is expensive, but cheaper than the fresh stuff. Don't forget about eggs that have omega 3 in them. THey're slightly more expensive but not as much as fish by a long shot.
