  • Improve your digestion

I’ve been reading some good stuff lately that says if you want to lose weight you have to boost your digestion, so prebiotics, probiotics, berries, fiber, apple cider vinegar could all help

Thanks KittyKatt. I never though that boosting digestion would be good for weight loss, but when you really think about it it makes perfect sense. It's not just about eating right, but making sure you let your body digest food properly so it's getting the right nutrients, etc.

Are any one of those things that you listed better for digestion than the other. Like, is prebiotics better than berries? Also, how is apple cider good for you?

It could probably help your weight loss, but don't expect miracles. TracyK, I think apple cider vinegar creates a good environment for healthful digestive bacteria

Those are good suggestions KittyKatt, the only thing I'd add is that it's important that when you add these things to your diet, eat them daily but in moderation because too much of it can seriously wreak havoc on your digestion system too. So, unless you want to live on the toilet, eat a balanced diet.

That's a very good point, M-Stark334. While it is good to have a proper serving of this type of food, you can't just gorge on it once (or worse, every day) and expect that you'll be able to fix all your digestive issues. You will indeed make them worse. Also, it's important to note that rebalancing your digestive system is something that takes time. It can take several weeks before there is any real difference. Don't expect miracles after a weekend.

*sigh* I gotta say, I really want the after-a-weekend miracle haha. I wish everything didn't take so long to work!

Such a good point, enviroTodd! It's so important to be realistic and patient when changing your diet for the better. It takes time to see the difference. Just remember that you're doing something good for your body
