I have a really hard time losing weight because I have bad knees so I can't do a lot of exercises or high-impact routines (ex. stair climbing and running/jogging are out of the question). Watching what I eat is helping me to lose some pounds, but I want to lose a lot more and I know I need to exercise to do that. Is there any exercise that I can do that will help me burn a lot of calories but are easy on my knees in the process?

Swimming! It's the best thing for people whose joints are wrecked and it gives you huge cardio working all the muscles on your body pretty much. I'd definitely recommend going swimming because you will be able to move your legs without putting hard strain on your knee joints. I mean, you should talk to your doc first and all that but I bet that's what you'll have recommended to you.

Thanks Bethie. I think I might head to my local rec center and see if swimming does help to strengthen it.At this point I'm willing to try just about anything!
