    If you’re taking on a diet, don’t fool yourself. Know what you will or will not stick to over time.

    Exactly PamelaPoison! You need to be honest with yourself and really think about your current lifestyle. While you do need to make changes, the changes need to be manageable and need to make sense to your life. I've personally made the mistake of biting off way more than I could chew more times than I care to admit. I always think that I'll somehow be able to meet all the challenges of hard diets, but after a week my motivation is usually shot. I've had way more success when I just take my time instead of trying to meet this huge weight loss goals in a short amount of time.

      That's a lot easier said than done. I tend ot think more highly or lowly of myself than reality. I tend to think that I'll stick to something and then I find that I don't. Or I think that I'd never be able to stick to something and then I surprise myself. I guess I don't know myself very well haha
