Hi everyone, I’m just looking for some tips to help me to stay on track for my diet because I’m really feeling confused. I can’t tell if I’m losing fat or if I’m losing muscle. I’m exercising a lot more than I have in my whole life and I’ve cut back a lot on calories but I’ve been reading a lot about losing muscle when the goal is to burn fat. How do I know if the reason that I’ve been watching the scale drop is because I’ve burned off fat or if my muscles are shrinking?

Do those body fat scales work? I've seen a number of them in various stores and while some are expensive, i'm pretty sure that you can get them for a reasonable price, too if you watch for a deal or if you look for one online. I guess it all depends on if they're accurate or not. I've never tried one.
