  • Staying hydrated doesn't mean drinking 8 glasses of water a day

Hey everyone. A tip I always hear about when it comes to staying hydrated is to make sure you drink 8 glasses of water a day. That is a total myth! The average person does not need to go above and beyond and ingest that much water per day. We get a lot of liquid from the foods we eat and other things we drink. Of course, it's a good idea to make sure that if you're going to consume a beverage to make water the prime choice most of the time, but you don't need to waterlog yourself to be healthy. Don't force yourself to drink water that you don't actually need. That's not good for you either.

That's really interesting. How do you end up knowing whether or not you're hydrated if that's the case? I wish there was some easy home test or something

you don't really need a home test Just pay attention to if you're thirsty, if you're hungry, if your skin and lips feel dry and other symptoms like that. And just keep sipping!

Good advice. Stop trying to measure and just be reasonable
