    Hi everyone, I'm looking for some good diet tips in regard to keeping a positive frame of mind and staying motivated while I work on reaching my weight loss goals. I find I get depressed easily and very discouraged. Is there a way I can overcome these feelings so they don't ruin my progress?

    I find visualizing works best for me. I ask myself these questions:
    • Where will I be in 3/6/12 months if I keep up my efforts?
    • Where will I be in 3/6/12 months if I quit?
    • How will I look over time if I stop?
    • How will I feel over time if I stop?
    • What will my health be like if I keep it up?
    • What will my health be like if I stop?

    Once I start answering questions like that, I gradually get my motivation back.

      Start trying new things. Lots of awesome new things. Like, promise to try a new ingredient every week and have fun with it. It'll keep you motivated

        Find a diet you actually like so it doesn't feel like punishment

          I really like this idea. As long as it's positive and fresh you can keep going with the next step.

              I can't believe I didn't see this until now. This is actually a good list, MadMike, you're right, Teensytiff. I'm going to print it and post it in my kitchen and in a few other places
