  • Give a diet an honest shot

Although not every diet will work for you and what may work for someone else might not be ideal for you and vice versa, it's important to make sure that you give the diets you are interested in trying an honest shot. You can't just give up after a couple of weeks or not follow a diet as directed and complain that it didn't work. Remember, dieting isn't easy, if it was we'd all be slim and there wouldn't be a huge multi-billion-dollar weight loss industry.

I couldn't agree more. That's a good reason not to trust a diet that says that it's only 10 days long. You really don't know if something is good and effective for anythign more than water weight unless you've done it for like 3 monhts!

It's hard to keep going with something when you don't see results right away.

I think a lot of this has to do with common sense. After a couple of weeks, you really shouldn't expect to have lost 25 pounds, but at the same time, you should start to feel different. Hopefully, you'll have lost at least one pound, but you should feel energized and like you're headed in the right direction. If not, it's not right for you because it's not putting your motivation where it should be . That's as important as the numbers on the scale.
